WD615 series engine is a classic Weichai heavy-duty inline 6-cylinder water-cooled four-stroke diesel engine developed based on Steyr technology platform, with displacement of 9.726L. The power range covers 240HP to 410HP, mainly meeting Euro II emission standard. It is widely matched for Sinotruk Howo, Shacman heavy trucks, semi-trailer tractors, large coaches and construction machinery.
This engine adopts turbocharging & air-to-air intercooled intake system, with optional 2-valve or 4-valve cylinder head designs. It is famous for robust structure, high reliability and strong torque reserve. Bore × stroke is 126mm×130mm, firing order 1-5-3-6-2-4. It has low fuel consumption and excellent adaptability to heavy-load, mountain and bumpy road conditions, which has been widely recognized in heavy-duty commercial vehicle market.
After long-term continuous heavy-load operation under high temperature and vibration, vulnerable parts such as fuel injectors, piston rings, oil seals, turbocharger and cylinder gaskets will wear and age. Failed components may lead to insufficient power, black smoke, abnormal knocking noise and high oil consumption. It is a mainstream power assembly for heavy truck overhaul and replacement.
