WD615-87 Engine Assembly is the core power assembly for Sinotruk Howo heavy-duty trucks. It adopts inline six-cylinder, water-cooled, four-stroke direct injection diesel engine with turbocharging and intercooling technology. Bore × stroke is 126mm×130mm, displacement reaches 9.726L, compression ratio 17:1. Rated power is 213kW (290HP) at 2200rpm, maximum torque 1160N·m within 1100–1600rpm, meeting Euro II emission standard. The cylinder block is made of high-strength cast iron, crankshaft, piston and connecting rod are forged by alloy steel, processed by precision machining and heat treatment. The engine features low specific fuel consumption of 195g/kWh, excellent low-speed torque and reliable performance, widely used in Howo dump trucks, cargo trucks, tanker trucks and other engineering vehicles.
